His interest in documenting things missed or forgotten has found him in some strange, occasionally dangerous places. He is not so much a thrill-seeker but perhaps a beauty-seeker. A truth-seeker. Almost ten years ago his young nephew asked 'Uncle Bill, why do you take pictures of garbage?' His response was 'Well, somebody's got to do it!' Now that nephew has a camera.
