I've been designing t-shirts in my head for decades. In 'reality' (quotations are because I design them on the computer) I've been really at it for about a year now.
T-shirts are important to my generation. It seems to me that somewhere between the late 70s/early 80s the bumpersticker fell to the t-shirt as the vessel for all things profound and we took it and ran with it. From my first favorite 'homework rots my brain' tee in grade 3 I knew they were powerful as they made my teacher uptight. Anything that rocked my 8-year-old socio-political situation that strongly was bound to be more than just a garment!
