SOLDLA BEACHES hanging in it's new home. It somehow looks minuscule, but trust me, that's 30 lbs of art! 4 feet long by 3 feet high and comes out from the wall about 6+ inches. If Frankenstein were art, this would be it.
This piece was concocted for the 'living history art piece'/blog on a wall I did for the Mission Federal Artwalk 2010. It represents the few hours I spent on beaches in Los Angeles (Santa Monica Pier & Venice) as part of the KREDDIBLE TROUT (part of the) WORLD TOUR 2010 information about which
can be found here on my blog.
Basically 1/2 of my Artwalk display was gallery type fine art photography and uniquely mounted pieces and the other half was the physical manifestation of the blog documenting my journey to the San Diego Artwalk. Again, if interested, please check out
the blog (March - May 2010).
ANYHOO! this monster was time consuming and frustrating at times but in the end is one of my proudest pieces to date. It was purchased by and hangs in the main stairway of a lovely couple in San Diego California.
Pieces like this are 100%
commissionable and 200% one-of-a-kind. No one else will ever own this piece (unless they sell it).
